About eight years ago, an Eastern University published an IPO
study. The study reviewed one hundred attempts to do an IPO. It compared
S-18 filings. The S-18 was the earlier version of the SB-2 filing. The
study concluded that less than half the companies that started the IPO
process were funded. It showed average costs for the IPO process to be
about US$750,000.

I'm interested in a current IPO study. I doubt that the SB-2 form
has cut costs. While there are more IPOs today, the interest in doing IPOs
is greater. So far, I haven't found a recent study.

However, I've found a useful academic website for IPO studies. The
URL is [http://linux.agsm.ucla.edu/ipo/iporefs.html] Many academic studies
have little relevance to the operation of the Market. University writers
carefully document their works. If you use their references, you can often
find data on the topic you are researching. Bookmark the URL. It could
prove useful.

Another IPO URL website: [http://linux.anderson.ucla.edu/ipo/] This
website is hosted by the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA..
It's worth bookmarking.
